Practical tip: The train arrives in Baku bright and early at 06:24. When booking your accommodation, check beforehand whether early check-in is possible, if the hotel offers free luggage storage, or what it costs to book the previous night so you can get straight into your room.
Train Fares and Choosing Your Class
Affordable Standard+ sleeper carriages have been added to the route:
Standard+ class: Ticket prices start from 65.20 AZN one way (around 101 GEL). Each compartment has four sleeping berths; fresh bed linen and towels are provided; there is a QR code system for ordering food, and the free luggage allowance is 36 kg.
Stadler carriages: Tickets for the higher-tier carriages start from 79.50 AZN (around 123 GEL).
What Documents Do Georgian Citizens Need to Travel to Azerbaijan?
Georgian citizens can visit Azerbaijan visa-free for tourism purposes for up to 90 days. You must have with you:
A valid international passport;
A digital or printed train ticket;
Proof of accommodation booking;
Travel insurance.
